n0pattern mowi:

Aug 10, 2011 - For those of you who don't know Ramadanman / Pearson Sound his remixes are almost never retreads. He stated that often times when he receives the pieces of music for remixing he doesn't listen to the track until after he is finished. I could understand someone no liking it, but this is a a great remix from one of the top UK Bass DJs producing right now.

Aug 10, 2011 - How does he remix it with out even listening then? Genuinely intrigued here.

Aug 10, 2011 - Of course it was!

Aug 11, 2011 - I have no problem with the music, but I don't think this can be considered a remix considering that the only sample from the original are a few fragments of the vocals. This is an entirely new track which samples a miniscule part of Morning Mr. Magpie.

Aug 11, 2011 - 2:06 onwards sounds phenomenal on a system.

Aug 13, 2011 - - Imagine if Jonny Greenwood did a soundtrack for a David Lynch film.

Nov 3, 2011 - This song is a trip! from beginning to end

TheGeraldemerald mowi:

Nov 9, 2011 - As a fan of Ramadanman since the beginning I was getting a bit tired of the palette he has ben using for the last year or two, and even though he uses the same fading, twisting disco percussion sounds and repeating UKF snares, etc on this I have to say this is fucking awesome... Fucking awesome!

TheGeraldemerald mowi:

Nov 9, 2011 - Get with the times sir! The mighty Kevin Saunderson redefined remixes with his take on Wee Papa Girl Rappers - Heat It Up (1988) - it ignored all the source material apart from the vox. Naturally the dub got rid of all that. Since then remixes do not literally mean 're-mixes', they're more like cover versions or interpretations. Is James Blake's Feist cover a cover or a remix? Discuss... (Seriously, have you never heard an Aphex Twin "remix"?)

TheGeraldemerald mowi:

Nov 9, 2011 - Yes, the vocals and the individual percussion shots. Either way what does it matter? Things have moved on since Walter Gibbon's dubs (and Francois Kevorkian's subtle yet awesome remixes of the Smith's 'This Charming Man - watch?v=2VR_FKSKfHk)

coasterman16 mowi:

Nov 9, 2011 - I have, but I don't really like to consider them remixes either. "Cover" is a more appropriate term. I don't reserve my comments for this remix alone.

MuseandRadiohead mowi:

Nov 25, 2011 - the way that bass slides dayyyyym! and then its mirrored in the vocal pitch shifting. this shit is deep!

ShootsDenBrah mowi:

Dec 19, 2011 - way deep
