Jan 22, 2012 - To me it has always seemed to be about being woken up from a dream, and not being able to recapture the beauty or bliss you were just feeling. In addition to the chirping birds signaling the arrival of morning, the line "you've stolen all the magic/and took my memory" is to me indicative suddenly waking up and remembering that you were having peaceful dream, but never being able to remember what it was, no matter how hard you try.
