Jul 2, 2011 - She put this beautiful aria from La Wally on the map with the greater public. Interesting how a movie can take an obscure musical gem and make it into a huge hit.

Sep 17, 2011 - I'll never forget seeing this in NYC. It's such a great movie and this opening scene of Ms. Fernandez singing the aria from "La Wally" is a perfect way to start a thriller.

Oct 1, 2011 - the moment she started singing it has been like a cultural shock to me while I was sitting in the cinema! After this my heart was opened to the real beauty of music next to the stuff I fancied at that time. Thanks for life...

Oct 8, 2011 - For those keen to see Wilhelmenia in a different role, have a look at the magnificent performance of Aida (Luxor, Egypt, 1994) also on Youtube. To see it, copy this behind the 'watch?v=' part of your current URL: FYG4uolR_K4&t=1h1m37s

Dec 3, 2011 - An intoxicating opening to a film over-flowing with beautiful moments and scenes and words...my spine shivers every time that I see and hear this....how could you not be drawn into this beautifully sad reverie?...modern French cinema at its zenith..

Apr 9, 2011 - - Aw shut up, this film and Wilhelmenia have a following for a REASON, her voice is FAR more real than a lot of the Trained voices that sound so machine like. Her's just comes naturally. And THAT'S far more attractive than some Europe Opera House for 20 years trained machine voices, not that's there's not a place for voice coaching, but it's even better if someone has NATURAL TALENT in the first place.
