Dec 5, 2011 - The government is Organised Crime. This is what we're living in. Soldiers in Afganistan have already admitted to contributing to the trade of opium be seizing farms and their crops before bring that to the states. The only government that is possible of being TRUE or RIGHT is a socialist one where every single person gets input ALL THE TIME.

vesemre mowi:

Dec 6, 2011 - I agree. I think people finally came to understand that socialism is a kind of direct democracy, quite opposite of the authoritarian Soviet regime where workers had no say and an unaccountable central planning committee controlled the economy

Dec 6, 2011 - This video is DAMN poignant. Very articulate guy, hits so many nails on the heads you'd think he just put a new roof on your mind.

Dec 6, 2011 - ;-) I like his jab at the absurdness of picking an HMO "product" ... Good interview.

Dec 6, 2011 - Using government is a pretty poor way to create or maintain a monopoly. There are MANY ways of creating a monopoly, from acquiring and controling a key chokepoint in a supply chain (for example, a key railroad or mine) or having so much capital that if any competition arises, they can squish it like a bug by dropping prices when anybody else enters the marketplace. And that is not counting outright illegal ways.

Dec 6, 2011 - Like Australia, where we have government sponsored universal healthcare, adequate welfare, banks that have not failed, and an economy which has not suffered nearly as much as the US.

Dec 6, 2011 - @slewofdamascus. I heard Obama said he would veto it if they passed it in senate. I'm not sure though. Can anyone tell me the news on it?

NoCigar1991 mowi:

Dec 6, 2011 - @fallbread. Overturn Citizens United v. FEC supreme court decision, which will give corporations less power to influence politics. Take the money out of politics.

slewofdamascus mowi:

Dec 6, 2011 - it passed the senate overwhelmingly - a traitorous act designed to protect the treasonous. Hence, the easy passage. That's all this is about - potecting their backsides using the ultimate power if the shtf. If he vetoes it, knowing enough votes exist to override his veto, it has more the look of political grandstanding. Fact is, Obama has already used unconstitutional power to kill an American citizen without trial or even a showing of the evidence.

Dec 8, 2011 - And yet, only govt sponsored monopolies manage to survive. Monopolies can't last without govt help.

JackofOneTrade567 mowi:

Dec 8, 2011 - Regulation would only make things worse by giving only those companies who cooperate with the state special privilege to create a monopoly. At the end of the day, regulation through govt can't fix a damn thing. Regulation is just a form of govt/corporate collusion.

JackofOneTrade567 mowi:

Dec 8, 2011 - Capitalism didn't create an army, the govt did. So that's a pretty stupid quote.

JackofOneTrade567 mowi:

Dec 8, 2011 - That's utter bullshit. You're just spreading govt propaganda that brainwashes you into believing you need the state. A world without govt would be vastly less violently, and far more voluntary. Freedom is dependent on us being able to interact peacefully. So no, my freedom is not in contradiction with yours. What is in contradiction with freedom is your funding of terrorism and theft through taxation.

JackofOneTrade567 mowi:

Dec 8, 2011 - Rofl, socialism. First of all, the vast majority of people are stupid. Secondly, the reason democracy fails is because everyone is trying to horde as much of the pie for themself. In a socialist society, majority trumps minority.

dangerouslytalented mowi:

Dec 8, 2011 - Which ones are you talking about? They are only not surviving because the government is NOT BREAKING THEM UP.

Laoch111 mowi:

Dec 8, 2011 - Think about it! The ousting of Gaddafi allowed for lucrative oil deals for big companies from the invading countries. The illegal invasion of Iraq enabled the stealing of more oil. Countries generally only get involved in wars abroad if their is a big pay off (usually oil). Open your eyes and don't believe everything the lamestream media tells you.

RetroMakesBeats mowi:

Feb 12, 2012 - What he said is very true...The government acts as if the "average" citizen isn't reasonable, logical, or competent to do things or even suggest things that will benefit them (then why do we even vote then lol) and the government is in place to do what's good for us. As if we are incapable of knowing what's good for us. And a lot of these politicians are actually incompetent, unreasonable and divorced from reality themselves. So it's actually in reverse. lol

KuConjo mowi:

Apr 10, 2012 - Parts r true, others kinda, mostly bullsh*t.

dekippiesip mowi:

May 15, 2012 - A lot of the average fellows are very stupid, sorry to say so but that is the truth. How did Hitler come to power if the average guy is thinking logically? Why do extremists get so much support? The choices are based on emotion rather than reason. And politicians only use this stupidity for their own gain.
