Jan 3, 2011 - I will be posting a review of Nero v3 by tomorrow. Check back soon :)

rssarmiento mowi:

Jan 3, 2011 - sure!!! my pleasure. but personally which rom do you prefer:-)

taloto07 mowi:

Jan 3, 2011 - Is the GPS working? Most of the Roms said GPS works, but I flashed couple of them; all of them didn't work. Right now I have Nero V3; GPS doesn't work either.

alexnguyen018 mowi:

Jan 3, 2011 - Both ROMs PERFORM equally well. The main difference between the two is that they LOOK different. Nero is based off of Gingerbread and has the black/green color scheme, while Axura has a unique gray/light blue theme. IMO, Axura looks cleaner and more mature, which I like. Axura also has pretty cool animations/transitions that Nero doesn't have. Since they perform equally well, I'd have to base my decision on looks, so I prefer Axura over Nero =]

Jan 3, 2011 - GPS does work in Axura (I tested driving navigation today and it was spot on). My brother has Nero v3 running on his Vibrant and his GPS also works. I think you might have GPS HARDWARE issues because I don't think it's the ROM.

taloto07 mowi:

Jan 3, 2011 - Is there a way fixing GPS hardware issues? BTW, thanks for replying.

alexnguyen018 mowi:

Jan 3, 2011 - Honestly, besides using the warranty to get a new unit, I don't know what else you can do. Software issues are easier to deal with, but you can't really fix the hardware yourself. Look on xda-developers for any possible fixes. Good luck!

rssarmiento mowi:

Jan 3, 2011 - Hahaha! I just flashed nero v3 and I got same opinion as yours. Even lagfix enabled/disabled, they got almost the same quadrant score and speed. Only they differ in looks and transition as you had mention. BTW I like the bootscreen of eugene's R2 Rom :-) Cheers!

alexnguyen018 mowi:

Jan 3, 2011 - Yep, these developers are really good at what they do, so it's no surprise that they have done great jobs optimizing the speed and performance of their ROMs. At the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference in areas that are most important to you (after speed and performance of course =])

Jan 3, 2011 - Hi Alex! i just did bricked my phone while i flashed back to eugenes gingerbread clone rom came from nerov3. I cant go into recovery mode, only galaxy vibrant screen go on and off. pls help...

jonjon0525 mowi:

Jan 3, 2011 - i would check your phone. Because that was an issue with gps not working in most 2.2 builds before release of stock vibrant 2.2. most roms now work. have tested all nero's and axura roms. also some others but these seem to always be the most stable. maybe try flashing back to stock with odin and then upgrade again.

rssarmiento mowi:

Jan 3, 2011 - oh my.. Thought I couldn't restore my phone back to life! But now seems to be fine again and kicking!. i'm now using gingerbread's clone from eugene, coz i want copy his boot screen to takes place of axura Roms boot screen. and I hope it works... THANK YOU XDA DEVELOPERS!! HAHAHAHA. you make my day! and Alex, Many Thanks to you my man.

Jan 8, 2011 - You do realize this didn't have voodoo installed? With it installed it is the same score..

76Duceman mowi:

Jan 8, 2011 - Dude it's all good...no disrespect intended, but you do state in the video that voodoo comes pre-installed on the rom, and you didn't know why quadnt was so low. Good video though!

alexnguyen018 mowi:

Jan 8, 2011 - @76Duceman When I initially flashed the ROM, I thought Voodoo had been installed automatically. That's why I was confused about the Quadrant score. After I manually enabled Voodoo I got a much higher score near 1500.

Jan 23, 2011 - I was using Team Whiskey Nero 5 and install Axura 2.2.7 and now phone wont even turn. Wall charger not even coming on. If I can get it into download mode then I can use ODIN and put it back to stock. Im desperate for a way for my phone to turn on.

Feb 26, 2011 - hey bro i have a huge problem i was hoping you could help.... my phone is rooted and i did everything you did in the video im trying to flash a new rom. everytime i go to reinstall packages it says e: failed to verify whole file signature e: signature verification failed. installation aborted..... any idea how i can fix that? please help

alexnguyen018 mowi:

Feb 26, 2011 - all i can think of is try to get into recovery by holding the volume up and volume down buttons as you press the power button. hold all three until you see the "Vibrant" screen, then let go. try this method of getting into recovery instead of through Rom Manager app.

bobgenunga mowi:

Feb 28, 2011 - Would it be safe to install this ROM on my HTC Eris. I'm currently running KaosFroyo, but I'm looking for something better.

alexnguyen018 mowi:

Mar 1, 2011 - No, this ROM was built SPECIFICALLY for the Samsung Vibrant on T-Mobile. In general, you don't want to flash a ROM that was made for one phone onto another phone...dangerous

ec5301 mowi:

Mar 29, 2011 - I have tried to download the Axura 2.2.5.7 Rom and it will not let me. Is there another way or place to download the Rom?
