May 3, 2012 - When I was a child I would wander around in the park. The days seemed brighter and the air crisper and more fresh somehow. This piece transports me back to the magical time of my childhood. The innocence gone and replaced by the despair that can only be known as adulthood and realization that not only is my time short but that of my loved ones. I remember my strong Father and safety. Forever gone now. But with tears in my eyes I remember him fondly as do I this piece. Thank you for posting.

May 11, 2012 - I'm new to Debussy. My first thought is that he MUST have had a huge influence on some of the iconic film score composers, eg Bernard Herrmann, John Williams etc. His music contains so much emotional depth, variation & mood. It's as if life and nature were his equivalent of composing for the screen. I can only imagine what kind of musical force he may have been if he'd have lived through the latter half of the 20th century.

May 14, 2012 - Claude Debussy was a French impressionist composer. He, like impressionist artist, painted a picture but not too vividly for he wanted the mind to wander and come up with it's own idea or feeling.

May 16, 2012 - I wrote one of my finer poems to this music. On a break from work, I took a walk through a field, quite secluded by the trees, and life just seem'd to be at play.I sat down, took my shoes off and started to write.... I did not go back to work, I just kept writing :) a bumble bee sat upon the end of my pen, it started to rain and we both did not flinch. thunder followed, and the sun returned, and before me white blossoms fluttered like butterflies. magical day aided by this song (spirit)

May 21, 2012 - In the movie "Round about midnight" the character that Dexter Gordon (while in France) does, says that debussy inspired many of the things he played as a jazz sax player. Beautiful moment that i enjoyed cause i've always thought that to be true!

May 23, 2012 - Are you for real? Besides Debussy's tonality is deliberately vague so it's not major or minor. He instead uses a lot of whole tine, pentatonic and chromatic scales in this piece. And what do you mean "Possibly polyphonic"? That means nothing. If it was polyphonic the whole way through then it would be obvious. Why did you even write this comment?
