The 5-7 wasnt the gun FN showcased to try and get the contract though, they just made a 45. version of their fnp, which in itself is a real beastly gun and was in line to replace the 9mm M9.

May 8, 2012 - What are you going on about? Any gun CAN kill anyone if they are not wearing protection even a .22lr. The FN Five-SeveN can and will take down any human target without protection and even with level 2 Body armor with AP rounds. The Five-seveN shoots high velocity rounds and puts out about 1 ton of pressure on a 1/16th inch spot equaling to around 10 inches of penetration minimum. Does that answer your odd question?
