It looks so puny compared to real body parts, so we ignore it mostly but praise its uses for the less able. Battery technology is so expensive still. It's like when the first steam-powered machines came out and were slower than horses. All of these technologies appear so harmless right now, but in 50 to 100 years, who knows? Just wait and see for yourself.

In fact, I have to wonder if we'll even need a body for most things. But anyway, if we crack the secrets of fusion we may one day fuel our body by plugging in.
