May 26, 2011 - Het check oiut the general sound quality. It is very bad, The orchestra is all compressed and monotonic - try some of the other versions. Don't compare the singing just the orchestra, this version has lousy sound. I wouldn't judge anyone on this. Why not look for a better one and then comment on her singing. By the way if Anna is a bad opera singer then I love bad opera.

Jun 18, 2011 - here is a wonderful example of how opera has at last evoluted and gave birth to magnificent artists like Netrebko.It was about time this aria was performed by someone who does not consider singing a matter of strong lounges and showing off voice power.Pardon me,all you Callas and Tebaldi lovers,but Netrebko,although not better technically,she is A LOT MORE ARTISTIC AND ENJOYABLE. Honestly, i think she does a serious job for opera.She is a real renewer.So precious element for Art.

Sep 17, 2011 - What I don't understand is why we have to have such hateful arguments comparing opera singers. I bet if they were all alive there would be a great deal of mutual respect. Why can't we have that same respect. It's art, it is emotional and subjective maybe just enjoy what you like and let others do the same. Think what the singers would say if the people who want to argue about who was better did it front of them. It would be really nice to see some honest attempt at courteous objectivity.
