Oct 12, 2009 - i'm not a fan of skinner or behaviorism but i didn't find this to be a satisfactory rebutle. frankl doesn't seem to provide positive proof that notions like dignity and freedom are not illusions. i might be missing something or he may have his reasons but i didn't find this video too enlightening.

If you read his book "Man`s search for Meaning", I think you would find he has a lot to say and would understand why he speaks of dignity and freedom. When a person is stripped of all else, all they have is their inner dignity to either hold on to or release. He witnessed this in prison camps.

And I do think his encampment has a lot to do w/what he says b/c it was through his encampment that he was able to test and to a certain extent prove his theories but this one clip can`t do justice to his ideas. He wrote many bks & worked many decades using his ideas so 6 min. can`t capture his whole theory.
