May 9, 2012 - You can and you should compare Beethoven with Bach because it makes you understand how music developed. Another reason is because Mozart and Beethoven increased the fame of Bach, and Haydn. Just because two composers are from two different eras does NOT mean they should not be compared because it does not only show the development between eras, but it could help you find where music might go next.
