It serves no purpose, and limits the possibility of rational discussion. This kind of thing needs to stop, or we will be left with a political landscape similar to the States, where compromise and rational discourse are impossible.

Apr 18, 2012 - The National Socialist German Worker's Party was not renamed the Nazi party, that was just the short form used by non-party members and later the world. Nazism was neither far left nor far right, but took from both sides of the political spectrum. I have to agree with you, though, people who think that Harper and the Conservatives are anything even remotely close to National Socialists probably have too many dicks in their mouth to think straight.

I Have watched dozens of documentaries about Hitler and every single one of them identified them as far right because that's what they were. History books all say the same. Even the Nazi party itself identified itself as far right and they had all the characteristics of conservatives such as their divisiveness, greed, racism, and facism, and in King Harper's case, lust for power.

May 2, 2012 - I disagree. Hitler did not start killing jews on day 1. There were years of other undemocratic actions that predated the holocaust. These assaults on democracy should have been seen as a red flag, which is exactly the way Harpers assault on Canadian democracy should be seen. Harper has repeatedly proven himself a lying, cheating unethical criminal and it would be irresponsible not to assume he will do a lot worse if he's allowed to get away with it, which he is proving daily.He's a facist pig.
